This place is horrible.Quite BrightOther
This place is horrible. I thought it was great at the open house, but it sucks. I transferred out after my first semester. I felt SO unsafe in the dorms. There were a lot of cases of men coming into the dorms and going after female students. I was scared to leave my dorm room at night just to go down the hall! UNCC is not what it is played up to be!

Question
I went to UNCC as a student fromQuite BrightUndecided
I went to UNCC as a student from New York. As soon as I went to orientation, the school looked just OKAY. The school is not pretty at all, it is all modern and very unsightly. My first few months at UNCC were horrible. Everyone leaves on the weekends to go home, so if you're an out-of-stater, look elsewhere than UNCC. I transferred out my first semester of my freshman year. The teachers were very unhelpful, they did not seem too interested in helping students. As a word of advice to all out-of-staters, especially those from the north....don't go to UNCC! It is a very very bad portrayal of the south. The dorms, especially the highrises(where most freshman are placed), are dirty, small, and very old. Look elsewhere!!!!!!

Question
Do not join this university.Super BrilliantElectrical Engineering
Do not join this university. I have been here for the past 5 years, and by know I have gotten a very clear picture of how this university is run...this university is so sad, that they ran out of money and di dnot have enough to buy paper for their departments...the admin asst., are HORRIBLE, they are mostly conservative, racist and downright red-necks....no kidding, the reistrar's department has screwed up my requests several times, and same thing has happenned to a lot of my friends....this university has enough money to construct buildings everywhere, yet have no money to provide a 24hr library system, or a study lounge where students can study after 12 midnight....seriously this university sucks big time...there is no scope for undergrauate research....jobs on campus suck....the only cool thing is that the surrounding city is cool...
